The Waterfall country

The first one in this blog. But it has lot more to it than that. It’s a cliché now to ignore the beauty next to you. I was no exception to this. I realised how costly my ignorance was when I visited Wales. Wales is beautiful…. ‘Period’ …

Given that I am staying in Bristol its just over an hours drive to enter into Wales. Once you enter, it’s the hills that welcome you. This place I visited during the weekend is the southern tip of the Brecon Bacon National Park. It's is called Pontneddfechan. Other than the weird sequence of alphabets in Welch everything was great! How would you pronounce “swgwd”!!?? This place is 2 hours drive from Bristol and is called as the “waterfall country” . It has numerous waterfalls and all accessible by walk. There are many options ranging from easy, moderate and strenuous to choose from. We took a moderate one and it was great. You should know what I mean from the photographs.

You can discover adventurous routes, you can go behind a waterfall, you can sit next to a waterfall and rest is left to you creativity. To just sit on a tree branch and listen to the sound of water flowing is pure neditation. Full of trees in falls colour, green coloured rocks, red coloured water, its was like a movie setting. It is nothing less than a fairy tale backdrop. For a one-day visit, this place has to offer much more than expected. 100% ROI guaranteed. I am sure to go again and take another walk as I have just seen few of the many blissful waterfalls.
